Finding the right visual note for a brand that needed to feel as human as the work it does.
The brief
Simon came to Stylistic with a clear vision and high personal standards. He was launching Connect Counselling & Psychotherapy — a new practice based in Belper offering person-centred therapy — and needed a creative partner who could translate something inherently human and sensitive into a digital presence that felt genuinely trustworthy. The website and photography had to do serious work. For someone considering therapy for the first time, the look, feel and tone of that first impression matters enormously.
The thinking
The visual identity needed warmth without being generic, and professionalism without being clinical. We shot the photography on location at the practice and in the surrounding landscape, with Simon and his colleague Chloe featuring throughout. The copy and structure reflected the person-centred philosophy that underpins the practice.
The outcome
The finished website gave a brand-new practice an immediate sense of credibility and warmth — the kind that’s difficult to define but instantly felt. Simon and Chloe both feature throughout the site and photography, and the work reflects the practice as it actually is: approachable, considered and grounded in genuine care for the people who walk through the door. For a business where a potential client’s first impression might determine whether they take the hardest step they’ve ever taken, that matters. The site continues to serve Connect Counselling & Psychotherapy as the practice it was built to represent from day one.
