The brief
Grain SA is a commodity organisation representing South Africa’s grain producers, established in 1999 and home to over 13,700 members across commercial and developing farming. The organisation also runs NAMPO Harvest Day — the southern hemisphere’s largest grain-focused agricultural trade exhibition, attracting a record 87,191 visitors and more than 900 exhibitors in 2025. Their existing website had no clear content hierarchy, and the marketing team were unable to make even basic updates without waiting on a previous agency.
The thinking
We worked from our Pretoria studio, attending NAMPO to understand the full scale of what the platform needed to serve. The project required a complete content mapping exercise across five properties — the main corporate site, three NAMPO event sites and a dedicated NAMPO Park site. The priority throughout was to give the team a CMS they could manage independently, with no dependency on an external provider for day-to-day updates.
The outcome
The new platform gives Grain SA full ownership of their digital presence for the first time. A clear content structure across all five sites means visitors can find what they need, and the marketing team can publish and update content without technical support. Improved security, faster performance and a scalable architecture mean the platform is ready to grow with the organisation.
